Eric Chung invite you, walking in the path of God. Be a Baha’i, As a Baha’i, Behave like a Baha’i.
Together walking in the path of God; this road is the journey to the spiritual worlds of God. It is straight but has many pitfalls and enemies. Men are lost in the world of darkness and materialism; they are wandering in the path of delusion, can’t see God with their own eyes, or hear His melody with their own ears.
But God is the Most Merciful and the Omnipotent. He send His Words through His Manifestation to His servant, so that men can find their way to God. So the mortal eye will be close and open the other to the Beauty of the Beloved. Close one ear to hear no evil, for evil is the absence of good and open the other to hear the sweet melodies of the Nightingale of the Paradise that utter His call unto men from the most remote Prison.
Ponder these words….
“ Recite ye the verse of God every morn and eventide. Whoso failed to recite them hath not been faithful to the Covenant of God and His Testament, and whoso turneth away from these holy verse in this Day is of those who throughout eternity have turned away from God”
Every morning we take breakfast, we need energy and power to work. After a day work we need rest and dinner in the evening to recover our health. And the next day we take breakfast and dinner again.If we don’t have the desire to eat in the morning or in the evening, our body will be weak and we are SICK.
What things or treasure we will bring alone to this Heavenly World ?
“O Children of Adam ! …Holy Words and pure and goodly deeds ascend unto the heaven of celestial glory. Strive that your deeds may be cleansed from the dust of self and hypocrisy and find favour at the court of glory……………”
“ O Son of Being ! ….. Thy heart is My home; sanctify for My descent………………………………”
A clean home is the nest of healthy life, and this home is Blessed………………
How to clean and purify the heart, so that Baha’u’llah can come to us!
Have you ever ‘ recite ye the verse of God every morn and eventide” ?
“……The prime requsite is the eagerness and love of sanctified souls to read the Word of God. To read one verse, or even on word, in a spirit of joy and radiance, is preferable to the perusal of many Books.”
In 1858 on the banks of the Tigris, Baha’u’llah revealed The Hidden Words. The Hidden Words is……..
Baha’u’llah wrote:
“ This is that hath descended from the realm of glory, uttered by the tongue of power and might,……as a token of grace unto the righteous, that they may stand faithful unto the Covenant of God, may fulfill in their lives His trust, and in the realm of spirit obtain the gem of Divine virtue.”
“ The course you have just completed has a very special purpose………………………………………………Now you may wish to acquire a book of the Writings of Baha’u’llah and read parts of it every day. The Hidden Words is a good first choice.” Ruhi Book 1 – Understanding the Baha’i Writing.
The Hidden Words is like a beacon in the dark that shines and lead you to the Heavenly Father. That give you light to the eyes which enable you to see the path to God. Because we are so attached with this material world that we live in, struggling and looking for the luxury of life and wealth with every effort to achieve our desire and want; the WANT but sometime not our NEEDS. Riches and wealth may become the greatest barrier between men and God.
The greatest enemy of man is he himself and his ego. Then The Hidden Words play an important role with potential influence to free man and enable man to win the battle and defeat the enemy.
Ponder this Words of Baha’u’llah:
“ Busy not thyself with this world, for with fire We test the gold, and with gold We test our servants.”
“Be thou content with Me and seek no other helper. For none but Me can ever suffice thee.”
“O My Servant !.. Free thyself from the fetters of this world, and loose thy soul from the prison of self. Seize thy chance, for it will come to thee no more.”
Turning to Baha’u’llah is the key to spiritual growth, by recognizing Baha’u’llah the spirit of faith is born within the soul and it needs nourishment in order to grow and progress , so that the soul can attain the highest level in heaven. The new spirit of faith is just similar to a new born baby. This new born baby need nourishment and he need milk to grow. If a child is born without a limb, he will never acquire it after birth and will remain handicapped as long as he lives. Therefore the mother carefully prepare everything in the embryo world in her womb that needed by the baby when he comes to this mortal world.
Similarly the spirit of faith need spiritual food to grow and progress and it can take with it only good qualities and holy words to the next world. Therefore holy words are the food for the spirit of faith and The Hidden Words provides this type of quality food (the gem of Divine virtue) that easily can be digest by the spirit of faith.
From Section 1 of Reflections on the Life of the Spirit, Ruhi Book 1:
“ The betterment of the world can be accomplished through pure and goodly deeds, through commendable and seemly conduct.”
This commendable and seemly conduct is not in us but we collected during the process of our growing through our daily life, but to what level of our conduct can be influenced the world around us.
By reading The Hidden Words every morning and evening so that we can attain the ocean of The Beauty and obtain the gem of Divine virtue with all the good qualities and images of the Beloved. To read the Words of God is not enough, to understand and reflect the meanings of the Words. The Hidden Words was given to the believers by Baha’u’llah to enable them to put into practice His counsels and commandments.
“My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart, that thine may be a sovereignty ancient, imperishable and ever lasting.”
In order to have a pure, kindly and radiant heart, we must put into practice in our daily life not merely recite the Words in mouth. We have to follow the Counsel and change our attitude and conduct from good to better, even a small act or action or service that can benefit other, is a contribution to the betterment of the world.
When we have immerse long in the Ocean of Words of The Beauty , we can be transform to a better being and attain the gem of the Divine virtue, the doors of secret will revealed. When we recite and practice the verses of the Hidden Word, we can stand faithful and steadfast with the Covenant of God, otherwise we may turn away and seek others. Therefore everyday we pray to God so we are guided and protected from falling into the pitfall.
“Purge thy heart from malice and, innocent of envy, enter the divine court of holiness.”
“Thy heart is My home; sanctify it for My descent. Thy spirit is My place of revelation; cleanse it for My manifestation.”
“Blessed is..the house ,….the heart…” “… Cast out the stranger, that the Friend may enter His home.”
Blessed is the heart…that you can call for Baha’u’llah and invite Him to decent in your heart…that is the greatest bounty we achieved
Fear not if Baha’u’llah’s stop loving us!
“ Love Me that I may love thee, if thou lovest me not, My love can be in no wise reach thee. Know this, O servant.”
